Distractions abound in the modern classroom: Think of strange laptop screens, stray whispers and tempting text messages. Now, imagine trying to process everything with brain damage.

For those who have suffered brain damage, one of the biggest challenges is readjusting to school or the workplace. Brain injuries can have many effects – what were once effortless tasks may become challenges requiring the utmost focus.To help those with brain injuries meet these challenges, Chapman Communications Sciences and Disorders professor and researcher Mary Kennedy has developed a coaching model that tackles new problems as they arise.
