‘Neuroceramics’

Rebekah Nash

Through out my ‘Neuroscience TBI’ project I have based most of my research and initial sample work on abnormalities within the brains physical structure after the damaging effects of trauma or disease. Working a variety of different clay (White Stoneware, Terracotta, Porcelain and Craft Crank) into a silicon brain mold, I have produced work that recognises the unique nature of brain disease/trauma which varies in each individual person, i.e. the type of trauma, the shape of the brain, the colour of the brain, the texture of the brain.
